Competition Guidelines
AIoTIE 2025 is open to all local and international innovators.
Each participation should consist of at most 6 members including 1 team leader.
The combination of staff, lecturers, teachers, and students in a group is allowed.
The category should follow the majority of the team members in the group.
Registration and Submission Guidelines
The registration needs to be done by submitting the abstract (for all categories) - not exceeds 100 words.
Your abstract must be written in English only.

Registration is open from 15th Feb 2025.
Note: Submission that do not meet the requirements will be rejected.
Video Guidelines
Video can be in English or any preferred languages but english subtitles must be provided in the video if the presentation is presented in other than the English language.
Video should be between 3 to 5 minutes in length. Videos that are not in between the length mentioned, marks will be deducted.
All information presented in the video must be cited, giving credit to the source.
Plagiarism of any kind will result in disqualification.
Video contents should include:
Introduction of the project
Problem statement
Proposed solution
Demonstration of its functionality
Explanation of the innovative product (idea, strategy, program, or project)
Cost effectiveness
Commercialization potential (if any), and any other supporting evidence.
The video must be uploaded to YouTube to get the video link. The YouTube video can be Public or Unlisted. Ensure it is not set as Private.
The video must be original and only made for AIoTIE 2025 competition.
Poster Guidelines
The guidelines for the poster are listed below:
There is no specific template is provided for this event.
The poster should have a portrait layout and be in the A4 format.
The poster should have the following items where preferably included in the poster heading:
The AIoTIE 2025 logo is to be put on the above-left side of the poster.
The institution logo (if available) is to be put on the above right side of the poster.

Names of all the group members and the institution represented
Poster format must be as follows:

Poster Size is Not More than 5MB
General Judging Criteria
CATEGORY 1: JUDGING EVALUATION CRITERIA
Poster
The poster will be judged according to the poster content (title, well summarized, clearly shows developments of the project, strong conclusion and implications presented)
Poster visually attractive (easy to read, utilized creativity in use of fonts, heading, and colors)
Presentation
The presentation will be judged according to the information delivery, attractiveness, content, and quality of the video.
Limited to a maximum of 6 minutes.
Problem Statement
The problem to be solved is clearly defined.
The problem has a significant impact on society and the environment.
Proposed Solution
Highlight the practicality of the proposed solution in terms of how relevant is the innovation in addressing the defined problem.
Demonstration
The demonstration will be judged according to the clarity and effectiveness of the product demonstration to highlight how the proposed innovation can solve the defined problem.
Functionality
The product functionality is well demonstrated.
No modification is required to make the product works.
Originality
Innovation is a new and unique innovation.
Highlight the innovativeness features of the innovation.
Cost-effective
Provide the cost of the innovation.
Commercialization Potential
Provide a complete prototype of the innovation.
Highlight the proposed selling price and expected profit margin (if relevant).
CATEGORY 2: JUDGING EVALUATION CRITERIA
Poster
The poster will be judged according to the poster content (title, well summarized, clearly shows developments of the project, strong conclusion and implications presented).
Poster visually attractive (easy to read, utilized creativity in use of fonts, heading, and colors)
Presentation
The presentation will be judged according to the information delivery, attractiveness, content, and quality of the video.
Limited to a maximum of 6 minutes.
Problem Statement
The problem to be solved is clearly defined.
The problem has a significant impact on society and the environment.
Proposed Solution
Highlight the practicality of the proposed solution in terms of how relevant is the innovation in addressing the defined problem.
Highlight the contribution of the product towards social benefit.
Demonstration
The demonstration will be judged according to the clarity and effectiveness of the product demonstration to highlight how the proposed innovation can solve the defined problem.
Functionality
The product functionality is well demonstrated.
No modification is required to make the product works.
Originality
Innovation is a new and unique innovation.
Highlight the innovativeness features of the innovation.
Provide evidence(s) to support the originality and novelty of the product.
Cost-effective
Provide the cost of the innovation.
Provide evidence(s) to support the claim for cost-effectiveness.
Commercialization Potential
Provide a complete prototype of the innovation.
Provide evidence(s) or the result of the market survey.
Highlight the proposed selling price and expected profit margin (if relevant).
Provide evidence(s) of sale records if the product has been marketed.
